re: listening for accents

As I ride the city bus on a daily basis, I hear a cornucopia of various of different accents from many different types of people. For instance, One of the more common accents I hear is and I quote: "Do juew know wich bus goes tu  di chopping mall?" Another strong accent I hear is:"What the heeck arre you taalk in  about maan. You done missed yer bus stop boy!" One more example of an interesting accent that I hear quite often is: Yo son, I was wit this shorty last night man. She was dumb hot homie, nah mean! I kicked the illest game on her bee and she was feelin' a nigga ya know. Needless to say, you know I smashed that doggy, nah mean!" Those are just a handful of the many different types of accents and speech patterns I hear while riding the city bus. Oh, one more interesting thing I noticed is while on the bus is how the bus driver adjusted to the many different types of people's accents when they ask her questions. For example, I noticed that one minute she'd/he'd be talking with a normal english speech pattern when she/he is speaking with someone of the Caucasian persuasion. However, say someone with a heavier accent like this approaches her : "Excuuse me honorabresan. Would u pwease tell me how to get to Coronial Dwive?" The bus driver would immediate change her verbal pattern and respond slowly in kind : "Yeah, wha u need to do is take this bus and swiitch to the fowty twee, and forrow that till you get to Coronial Dwive." It's truly amazing all the different accents and the way public workers communicate with each other with there many different accents and speech patterns. I'm gone pimpin'! Stay safe 100!
