re: listening for accents
As I ride the city bus on a daily basis, I hear a cornucopia of various of different accents from many different types of people. For instance, One of the more common accents I hear is and I quote: "Do juew know wich bus goes tu di chopping mall?" Another strong accent I hear is:"What the heeck arre you taalk in about maan. You done missed yer bus stop boy!" One more example of an interesting accent that I hear quite often is: Yo son, I was wit this shorty last night man. She was dumb hot homie, nah mean! I kicked the illest game on her bee and she was feelin' a nigga ya know. Needless to say, you know I smashed that doggy, nah mean!" Those are just a handful of the many different types of accents and speech patterns I hear while riding the city bus. Oh, one more interesting thing I noticed is while on the bus is how the bus driver adjusted to the many different types of people's accents when they ask her questions. For example, I noticed that one minute she'd/he'd be talking with a normal english speech pattern when she/he is speaking with someone of the Caucasian persuasion. However, say someone with a heavier accent like this approaches her : "Excuuse me honorabresan. Would u pwease tell me how to get to Coronial Dwive?" The bus driver would immediate change her verbal pattern and respond slowly in kind : "Yeah, wha u need to do is take this bus and swiitch to the fowty twee, and forrow that till you get to Coronial Dwive." It's truly amazing all the different accents and the way public workers communicate with each other with there many different accents and speech patterns. I'm gone pimpin'! Stay safe 100!

re: Visual Assignment- Bootleg 544-location #3
When I read his Blog I visualized him inside a huge department or supermarket, well-lit, high ceilings, with various people talking all around. He is sitting directly in front and to the side of the automatic sliding doors. People are walking by him. Directly in front of him, I see a cashier scanning certain various products and there is a constant beep from each scan. There is another cashier opening her cash register an closing it after delivering some change to a customer. Just a little further beyond the cashiers there are people pushing shopping carts from one side of the store to the other over some small brown tiled floor. Close by to his left, I see a group of teenage baggers opening up plastic and paper bags and loading up various products inside them for the customers. To his right, there are a couple of stock or associate store workers opening up cardboard boxes with Exacto knives a taking out products to be shelved. In the distance I see a middle aged women standing by a shopping cart, holding a baby and rocking him as he cries. He eventually calms down and gets quiet. Finally, Close to his left, I see another store worker sweeping the floor. He is holding a dustpan attached to a short metal handle and he is sweeping the dirt that has accumulated nearby the lane directly behind the cashiers that leads to the exit/entrance.

re: Sound listening exercise description: Area 3
Okay, guys. Are you ready to hear the sounds I hear for the latest place that I'm in. A'ight, here we go. I hear a medium pitch whoosh and a cool sensation on my skin. I now hear the sounds of chirping at regular intervals above me. I hear the sound rustling of leaves all around me. Now I hear a low pitched sound like an engine in the distance. It's getting louder and louder then I hear some rock music playing. The music starts to fade and so does the sound of the motor. I now hear the slight patter of footsteps right above me. Now i hear a slight crunching sound like something is being chewed. I hear a buzzing sound that quickly passes my ear. Now i hear a flapping sound that starts behind me and is now moving away from above. Finally, i hear a couple of pops and snaps towards the ground in front of me. Where am I?
re: Sound listening exercise description: Area 2
Here's the sounds I hear for the next place that I'm at. I hear a low hum as cool air whooshes down upon my face. There is a slight creaking sound behind me. A sharp click sound soon follows like a small stone hitting some glass. There is a small but faint buzz to my left as I feel slight warmth to my left shoulder and arm. I also her a loud clank at this point like metal banging in the background. Now I hear a loud creak and then a slam. I hear a sssssss sound like running water. Finally the sound stops, another creak and then a slam. I hear chatter way in the background like some one announcing. Where Am I?

There is also the sounds of a squeaky wheel rolling past me. I hear some soft Jazz music playing at a low volume. People are chattering' kids, and older people voices both men and women. I hear the sound of plastic slapping against one another. There is a metal clicking sound. I also hear a sound of something metallic sliding against something else metallic. I can also hear the sounds of a keyboard being punched and there is a loud beep sounds accompanied with every keystroke. There is a slight low pitched hum really low in the background. I hear a slightly higher pitched sound above my head. Lastly, I can hear the sounds of something being crinkled up. Where am I???
